Fire Eye Provides Webcast of Spirit of Innovation Awards to Online Audience of 500

For the first time in Chattanooga history, streaming video technology was used to provide a real-time webcast of a major Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce event on the Internet. Fire Eye Productions, Inc., an Early Innovator Award finalist in 2007, streamed the 2009 Spirit of Innovation Awards providing a way for 500 people who were not able to make the event in person view the live webcast from their own computer.

“Fire Eye’s live streaming service was quick, easy and effective,” said J.Ed. Marston, vice president of marketing and communications at the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. “With only two hours notice, 500 of our members were able to watch live as an important business event unfolded.” Read the rest…

Unum Calls On Fire Eye To Help With United Way Campaign

Usually when a client says “here’s a home video that we’d like you to use as inspiration for our corporate video,” I cringe because the production value is often less than desirable. However, Suzanne Rodgers and Amanda Carmichael with Unum Group showed me something that was VERY cool. Amanda’s husband had created an effect that included placing several photos on a table before cutting to a photomontage of her grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. So I took that concept and ran with it!

The purpose of the video project was to kick off the employee’s 2007 United Way Campaign at Unum. The video featured several interviews with employees that had either benefited directly from a program funded by the United Way or had played a role in supporting the efforts of the United Way.
